MMP 2026: Open Call for Creative Collaborations
The MONO MAKERS PROGRAM (MMP), hosted by MONO JAPAN and NN Life Insurance, is now returning in 2026, with the Open Call officially launching on Friday, April 3!
Building on the strong outcomes of the 2025 edition and its selected collaboration pairs, MMP has proven to be a powerful platform for cross-cultural co-creation. The program brings together Japanese artisans and production specialists with Dutch creators to develop innovative new products that expand the future of craftsmanship.
Results of MONO MAKERS PROGRAM 2025
The collaboration between the Grand Prize Pair of 2025 MMP (Left): Erika Kojima of Kojima Orimono Co., Ltd., a luxury wallpaper manufacturer specializing in traditional weaving techniques; and Dutch designer Samira Boon, who explores textiles from an architectural perspective, led to the development of a new vertical blind made from woven wallpaper.
Another collaboration between the Jury’s Special Prize Yosuke Uebayashi of Shobien Kyoto (Katsumi Shoten Co., Ltd.), a Kyoto-based producer of Roketsu dye textiles, and Dutch designer Lena Winterink (Studio Lena Winterink) resulted in an accordion-style textile blind, offering a fresh and contemporary expression of Roketsu dye craftsmanship (Right).

These newly developed products were unveiled at the Kyoto International Gift Show, held on March 11–12, 2026.
Now is the perfect time to connect with potential partners within the MMP community and take the next step! Apply for MONO MAKERS PROGRAM 2026, and become part of the next generation of makers shaping what’s next.
